Jindřichův Hradec - the local town is about 15 km away. This charming town contains a lake-side castle, medieval town square. Several cafes dot the cobble-stone street between the square and castle. The local museam contains the largest mechanical nativity scene in the world, built by Tomáš Krýza over a period of 60 years.
Chlum u Třeboně - a small town (about 11km away) with the pilgrimage church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in 1745 and the castle with beautiful park. Chlum in Trebon in the summer, frequently visited by tourists, mainly due to the Hetman and Staňkovský ponds, which are very suitable for recreation.
Stráž nad Nežárkou - small town (about 4 km away) with a lovely castle, which is known today mainly in connection with the singer Ema Destinova, who in the 1920s used its picturesque location on the river marshes and near the New Riveras her residence.
